China Green Card (China permanent residence) is issued to those who are going to reside in China permanently. Before if you want to apply the China green card, the access threshold is very high. So in shanghai, there are 170,000+ foreign expats living and working in shanghai, but only 2400 person successfully got the China permanent residence. - Investor -An investor who invests in China with an actual sum of paid registered capital $2 million USD or above (not less than that amount be sustained for 3 consecutive years);
-An investor who invests in enterprise encouraged by the states under the promulgated ”Guiding Project of Enterprises Invested with Foreign Capitals”
-The accompanying spouse and children under 18 years old and unmarried may, at the same time, apply for the same permanent residence certificates. - Employee-1.Has been working in Shanghai for four successive years, and the period of residence in China each year should reach 6 months or more;
2.The annual wage income before tax should outnumber 600,000.00CHY for four successive years;
3.Individual income tax paid annually should outnumber 120,000.00CHY;
4.Being recommended by current work unit.
-Accompanying spouse and child (ren) under the age of 18 and not married meeting the qualifications stated above can apply for the corresponding alien Permanent Residence Permit at the same time. - Personal in office-1.One who assumes in China the position of a (vice) chairman of the board, (deputy) general manager or above or one with the associate senior title of post of an associate professor or researcher;
2.One who has held the post for consecutive 4 years and having lived in China not less than accumulated 3 years;
3.With a good record of tax payment;
4.The company wherein he/she works conforms to the following requirements continuously for four years:
(a). Department under the State Council or scientific research institute under Shanghai Municipal Government or undertaking with administrative nature or function;
(b). Key institutions of higher learning (“211Engineering” school);
(c). Enterprises or undertakings carrying out the state’s key engineering projects or major scientific and technical projects;and(d). New and hi-tech enterprises, enterprises encouraged for foreign invested, advanced technical enterprises invested with foreign capitals or enterprises invested by foreign business with products for export;
-The above-mentioned persons and accompanying spouse and unmarried children under 18 years old can apply for the Alien Permanent Residence Certificate. - Reunion of couple-1.Marriage to a Chinese citizen (or to foreigner who obtained the Permanent Residence Certificate holder);
2.With marriage for 5 years;
3.Having lived in China for 5 years and residence in China not less than 9 months every year;
4.With stable living and residence. - Reunion of Children-1.One of parents or both parents are Chinese Citizens, or a foreign parent with a Permanent Residence Permit;
2.Children under 18 years old and unmarried, and;
3.With foreign citizenship as approved - Relatives seeking refuge-1.Those who have no direct with relatives abroad seek refuge with direct relatives within the Chinese territory;
2.With full age of 60 years old;
3.Having stayed in China for successive 5 years and not less than 9 months every year;
4.With stable living and residence.
- Special personnel-1.Having made important and outstanding contributions to the state’s economic development and social progress;
2.Top qualified personnel in the world, persons with special skill or celebrities of great value to the state.
